4、hemagnificenceofhisconceptions,andhisluminousdevelopmentoftheabstrusedogmasoftheancients,isunrivaledamongthedisciplesofPlato.As,therefore,ofallhisphilosophicalworksthatareextant,Ihavetranslatedthewholeofsome,andpartsofothers,*IwasalsodesiroustopresenttheEnglish
5、readerwithatranslationoftheexistingFragmentsofsuchofhisworksasarelost.*IhavetranslatedthewholeofhisSixBooksontheTheologyofPlato,andhaveaddedaSeventhBook,inordertosupplythedeficiencyof,anotherBookonthissubject,whichwaswrittenbyProclus,butsincelost;thewholeofhisC
6、ommentaryontheTimaeusofPlato;andofhisCommentaryontheFirstBookofEuclid.IhavealsotranslatednearlythewholeofhisScholiaontheCratylus;andhavegivenatranslationofthesubstanceofhisCommentariesontheFirstAlcibiadesandParmenidesofPlato.ThesearefromtheGreek.Fromthebarbarou
