3、rds:moreemphasisonthepropositionexpressed(e.g.Horn,2005;Levinson,2000)whiletheSocio-cognitiveapproachsocio-culturalinteractionalline(e.g.Verschueren,1999;Mey,2001)underscorestheSituation-boundutterancesimportanceofallowingsocio-culturalcontextintolinguist
4、icanalysis.FollowingthePragmaticactssocio-culturalinteractionallineMeyclaimedthattheexplanatorymovementinatheorySpeechactsSocio-culturalbackgroundofpragmaticactsisfromtheoutsidein:thefocusisontheenvironmentinwhichbothConversationalroutinesspeakerandhearer
5、findtheiraffordances,suchthattheentiresituationisbroughttobearPriorcontextonwhatcanbesaidinthesituation,aswellasonwhatisactuallybeingsaid(Mey,Actualsituationalcontext2001:221).InthepaperIwillarguethatfromtheperspectiveofSBUstheexplanatorymovementshouldgoin
