4、all-regulated, xed-speedwindturbinesystemcapableofpredictingthe ickerimpactontheconnectedgridispresentedandcomparedwith eldmeasurements.Theresponsesof xed-speedandvariable-speedwindturbinesystemstofaultsintheelectricgridareinvestigatedandcomparedwith eldandlaboratorymeasurements.Models

5、tructuressuitableforgridfaultresponsesimula-tionsofthe xed-speedandthevariable-speedwindturbinesystemsaresuggested.Inthedetailedmodelofthestall-regulated, xed-speedsystem,thewindgenera-tionandtheaerodynamicconversionaretreatedintwodi erentways.Adetailedwind eldsimulationandanaerodynami

6、cconversionbasedonwingpropertiesarecomparedwithasimpli edapproachthatmakesuseofasinglepointwindsimula-tionandthewindturbinepowercurve.Asoftshaftrepresentationisusedforthedescriptionofthedrivetrain,andtheuseofdi erentgeneratormodelcomplexitiesisinvestigated.Resultsofthesimulationsarecom

7、paredwith eldmeasurementsanditisfoundthatthemeasuredgridvoltagehasasigni cantin uenceontheobtainedresults.Theshortcircuitimpedanceangleoftheconnectedgridhasalsoasigni cantimpactontheaccuracyoftheresults.Itisconcludedthatthegridfaultresponseofthe xed-speedsystemsismainlycoveredbythedr
