2、lyabroadrepertoireofevidence-basedteachingpracticesinthesupportofstudentlearning.Thebook’scontentstemsfromthreemajorfieldsofstudy:1)theoriesandresearchonhowpeoplelearn,includingnewinsightsfromthecognitiveandneurosciences;2)researchonclassroompracticesshowntohavethegreatesteffecton
3、studentlearning;and3)researchoneffectiveschooling,definedasschool-levelfactorsthatenhancestudentachievementandsuccess.Althoughthebook’smajorfocusisonteaching,itdevotesconsiderablespacetodescribinghowstudentslearnandhowthemosteffectiveandwidely-usedmodelsofteachingconnecttoprinciple
4、sofstudentlearning.Specifically,itdescribeshowresearchonteaching,cognition,andneuroscienceconvergetoprovideanevidence-based“scienceoflearning”whichteacherscanusetoadvancetheirpractice.Keyfeaturesincludethefollowing:•Evidence-basedpractice–Thisthemeisdevelopedthrough:1)anongoingre
