3、reherebypromulgatedandshallcomeintoforceonJanuary15,2010.MayorHanZhengTwoyearsnine,December9thProvisionsonthepreventionandcontrolofradioactivepollutioninShanghai(promulgatedbyDecreeNo.twenty-thirdofShanghaiMunicipalPeople'sGovernmentonDecember9,2009)Article1(purposeandbas

4、is)Inordertocontrolpollutionandprotecttheenvironmentandhumanhealth,accordingtothe"preventionandcontrolofradioactivepollutioninPeople'sRepublicofChinalaw"and"radioisotopesandradiationsafetyandprotectionregulations"andotherlawsandregulations,withtheactualcity,theenactmentof

5、thisprovision.Articlesecond(scopeofapplication)TheseProvisionsshallapplytothepreventionandcontrolofradioactivepollutionwithinthescopeofthisMunicipalityandthesupervisionandadministrationthereof.Third(departmentresponsibilities)Theadministrativedepartmentofenvironmentalprot

6、ectionoftheShanghaiMunicipality(hereinafterreferredtoasthemunicipalenvironmentalprotectiondepartment)shallexerciseunifiedsupervisionoverthepreventionandcontrolofradioactivepollutionwithinthescopeofthismunicipality.Theadministrativedepartmentsforenvironmentalprotectionunde

7、rthedistrictorcounty(hereinafterreferredtoasthedistrictandcountyenvironmentalprotectiondepartments)shallberesponsibleforthefollowingworkwithinthescopeoftheirrespectivejurisdictions:(1)theproduction,saleanduseoftypeIV,classVradioactivesourcesandclassIIIrayinstallations,the
