2、history,eventsin‘realtime’,thatsuccessionofantagonisticmovementsthatincludesslavery,reconstruction,depression,andwar.”Recitatifistheonlyshortstoryshehaswritten,ithasmainlybeenstudiedintermsofunreliablenarrator,racialrelations,andnarratology,andrelated
3、perspectives.Inhershortstory“Recitatif”,ToniMorrisonrevealsthedilemmaandstruggleoftheblackpeopleasshealwaysdidinherfictions,becauseherworks,toalargeextent,areaccountsofofficialhistory,hiddenfromwhichshegivesvoicetovoicelesspeople.AsWiserwrites,“Morris
4、onvaluestheinfluenceandpowerofherheritage,recuperatinghistorical,livedmomentsinAfricanAmericanhistorytofillintheblanks.”Inthisshortstory,sheneverpointsoutwhichcharacterisblack,whichiswhite,betweenwhotherearesomeratherpoignantconflicts,creatingmanyinde
