4、tem2–Mattersarisingfromthemeetingon15September200692(a)SundayCulturalProgrammes–CultureinMotion:TheChairmansaid‘CultureinMotion:Nepal’wassuccessfullycompletedon14January2007atKowloonParkPiazza.Sofar,theRaceRelationsUnithadorganisedsixthematicculturalshow

5、stoshowcasetheculturesofthePhilippines,Pakistan,Indonesia,Thailand,IndiaandNepal.TheCommitteeagreedtoorganiseamulticulturalshowastheseventhoftheseries.Themeetingagreedthatbearinginmindtheobjectiveoftheseeventsweretopromoteracialharmony,considerationshoul

6、dbegivento,inadditiontopromotingtheparticipationoftheethnicminorities,involvingthelocalmainstreamcommunitytoperform/takepartintheseevents.ItwasresolvedthataWorkingCommitteewouldbeformedtoconsiderhowbesttotaketheprojectforward.EightMembersagreedtojointheW

7、orkingCommittee.(b)EqualOpportunities(Race)FundingScheme2006/07:MsChan(HAB)reportedthatatotalof24sponsoredorganisationscarriedouttheirprojectsinaccordancewiththeirapprovedproposals.Sponsoredorganisationswereremindedtosubmittheprojectandfinancialreportsby

8、15February.Inparallel,theUnitwouldlaunchthe2007/08FundingSchemebywidelydistributingpostersandleafletsinMarch.Itwasagreedthatadiscussiongroupshouldbeformedtoconsiderwhethertheremightbescopeforimprovingtheexistingselectioncr
