4、gesof20and49years,andtherewasaAccepted21September2009malepreponderance(male:female=1.7:1).ThemostcommonclassesofsubstancesinvolvedinAvailableonline23October2009fatalitieswererodenticide(19.7%),insecticideandherbicide(17.9%),carbonmonoxide(16.5%),drugs(13.8%)andalcohols(12.4%).I
5、ngestionwasthepredominantrouteofexposure(65.1%),followedinKeywords:frequencybyinhalation,injectionanddermal.Invastmajority(64.7%),themannerofdeathwasPoisoningdeathaccidental;suicidalintentwaspresentin25.2%ofcases,homicidein3.7%,andundetermined6.4%.WhenRetrospectivestudycompared
6、totheformerreportsfromthesameinstitution,onefor1956–1984andanotherfor1983–Pesticides1999,anincreasewasfoundintheproportionofdeathsduetorodenticides,CO,alcoholsanddrugs,aswellasinaccidentalpoisoningdeaths.PoisoningdeathsduetopesticidesremainthemajorpublichealthprobleminChina.Fur
