3、which—whichhasbeenmyhomeforthreedecades.IsalutetherankandfilemembersoftheANC:Youhavesacrificedlifeandlimbinthepursuitofthenoblecauseofour,likeSolomonMahlanguandAshleyKriel,whohavepaidtheultimatepriceforthefreedomofallSouthAfricans.IsalutetheSouthAfr

4、icanCommunistPartyforitssterlingcontributiontothestrugglefordemocracy.Youhavesurvived40yearsofunrelentingpersecution.ThememoryofgreatcommunistslikeMosesKotane,YusufDadoo,BramFischer,andMosesMabhidawillbecherishedforgenerationstocome.IsaluteGeneralSecr

5、etaryJoeSlovo,oneofourfinestpatriots.WeareheartenedbythefactthatthealliancebetweenourselvesandthePartyremainsasstrongasit—italways,theNationalEducationCrisisCommittee,theSouthAfricanYouthCongress,theTransvaalandNatalIndianCongresses,andCOSATUandtheman

6、yotherformationsoftheMassDemocraticMovement.IalsosalutetheBlackSashandtheNationalUnionofSouthAfricanStudents.Wenotewithpridethatyouhavelooked—thatyouhaveactedastheconscienceofwhiteSouthAfrica.Evenduringthedarkestdaysinthehistoryofourstruggleyouheldthe

7、flagoflibertyhigh.Thelargescalemassmobilizationofthepastfewyearsisoneofthekeyfactorswhichledtotheopeningofthefinalchapterofour—Yourorganizedstrengthistheprideofourmovement.Youremainthemostdependableforceinthestruggletoendexploitationandoppression.Igr
