2、anesedesignanddevelopmentmethodologythataidsqualityfunctiondeployment(QFD)providesacomprehensive,inthiseffortisqualityfunctiondeployment(QFD).TheQFDsystematicapproachtoensurethatnewproductsmeetorexceedmethodologyprovidesastructuredframeworkforconcurrent
3、customerexpectations.Thispaperreportsontheresultsofasurveyofmorethan400companiesintheUnitedStatesandJapanengineeringthatensuresthatthe“voiceofthecustomer”isin-usingQFD.Theobjectiveofthestudywastounderstandthecorporatedintoallphasesofproductdevelopment[6
4、].UnlikekeyfactorsthatresultinthesuccessfulapplicationofQFD.ThemanyqualitymethodologiesthatweredevelopedintheWestresearchquestionsinvestigatedinthisstudyweredevelopedbothandtransferredtoJapan,QFDwasdevelopedinJapanandhasinductivelyfromQFDcasestudiesinth
5、eUnitedStatesandJapanbeenadoptedbymanyU.S.companies.anddeductivelyfromtheliterature.Regressionanalysisestimatestheeffectsoforganizationalcharacteristics,datasources,andTheimplementationofQFDreportedlyresultsinmanyQFDtoolsandtechniquesonQFDimprovementsin
6、theproductsignificantimprovementsintheproductdesignanddevel-andprocess.TheresultsshowthatQFDismostlikelytohaveopmentprocess[7]–[9].Theseinclude1)areducedproductapositiveimpactwhenthereismanagementsupportforQFDdevelopmentcycle,2)areductionofproblem/redes
7、ign“spikes”andnewcustomerdataspecificallycollectedfortheQFDstudyareused.ThebenefitsofQFDareindependentofthetoolsandduringproductionstart-up,3)improvedproductquality,and4)techniquesusedaspartoftheQFDstudy.increasedcustomersatisfaction.Fig.1illustratesthe
