4、ngavariablenumbersuming.Thispaperintroducestheconceptofscenariopre-ofFTPconnectionsgoingthroughit.Anetworkengineerfiltering—ratherthanperformdetailedsimulationofeachmightwanttofindthepointwhenthecapacityofacer-scenario,weproposetoquicklyevaluate(pre-filter)allsce-tainlinkwouldbeinsufficienttome

5、etcertaingoals.Ornariosinordertoselectonlytherelevantscenariosanddis-shemightwanttoobtainthemaximumnumberofbulkcardthosethatareclearlytooover-orunder-provisioned.connectionsthatcanbesupportedbyaparticularnetworkTorapidlyevaluatescenarios,wehavedevelopedseveraltopology.Toexplorethenetworkbeh

6、avior,theengineernewanalyticaltechniquestoquicklydeterminethesteady-mightemployanetworksimulatortoevaluateanumberofstatebehaviorofthenetworkwithbothbulkandshorttermscenarioswithdifferenttrafficcharacteristics.TCPflows.ThesetechniquesapplytoarbitrarytopologiesPacketlevelsimulators,suchasns-2[2
