4、inthe1980s.Inrecentyears,moststudiesofZhuHong’stranslationusethefeministtranslationtheoryandfocusonthesameworkscreatedbyZhuHong.HertranslationanthologyhasnotbeenstudiedfromtheperspectiveofSkopostheorie,sothisthesisisaneffortinthatdirection.Skopostheorieisthecoretheoryo
5、fGermanfunctionalistapproaches,whichwasdevelopedbyHansJ.Vermeer.Differentfromequivalencetheory,Skopostheoriefocusesontranslationasapurposefulactivityofhumanbeings.Vermeerbelievesthatwhatdeterminesthetargettextisnottheequivalencebetweenthesourcetextandthetargettextbutth
6、epurposeofthetranslator,therelationbetweenthetargettextandthetargetreadersandtherelationbetweenthesourcetextandthetargettext,whicharethethreerulesofSkopostheorie—Skoposrule,theintratextualcoherenceandtheintertextualcoherence.Byanalyzingthetranslationstrategiesandmethod
7、sZhuHongadoptedinhertranslationofTheSerenityofWhitenessfromtheperspectiveofthethreerulesofSkopostheorie,thisthesishasfoundthatProfessorZhuHongmainlyusesthefollowingstrategies:literaltranslationandfreetranslation,andthefollowingmethods:addition,annotation,omission,adjus
