3、fwhichalefromChinaandmostofthemareoiltanks．Itisexpectedthattheoilimportwillreach2hundredmilliontonsin2010，1．5hundredmilliontonsofwhichstillshouldbetransportedthroughtheSingaporeandMalaccaStrait．Suchmasstransportationofcrudeoilresultsinthetrafficdensityincreasingattherateofa

4、bout15％eachyear，andthenumberoflargeoiltanksisalsoincreasing．ThusthedegreeofnavigationdangerisgeRinghigherandthesafetyofvesselisgettinglowerwithsomanyvesselsbeingcongestedinsuchalimitedwaterarea．Improvethemaneuveringandmanagementoftheoiltankswhentransitingthroughthechannel，a
