5、gthenon-Englishfreshmeninindependentcollege，toidentifygeneraltrendinthestudents’useoflisteningcomprehensionstrategiesunderinvestigation，tosurveythedifferencesinlisteningcomprehensionstrategiesusebetweenhighproficiencygroupandlowproficiencygroup，andalsotoresearchintothewayinlist

6、eningcomprehensionstrategytraining．Thesubjectsinvolvedinthisstudywere159freshmenenrolledinZhejiangOceanUniversityDonghaiScienceandTechnicalInstituteinSeptemberof2011．Instrumentsusedinthisstudyincluded：questionnaireondifficultiesinlisteninganduseoflisteningcomprehensionstrategie

7、s；pre-traininglisteningcomprehensiontestandpost-traininglisteningcomprehensiontest；andinterviewaftertraining．Excelwasusedtoanalyzethedatafromthequestionnaireandtests．Thefindingsofthisstudyarepresentedasfollows．Firstly,thedatashowedthatgeneralEnglishability,vocabularyandphrases，
