3、tal,2004).Althoughgreatinteresthasarisenathomerecently,flawscanstillbefound,suchasthedisunityindefinition,monotonousresearchingmethodology.BasedonOlsen(2008),WeiShuhua(2005,2008)andotherresearchers’definitions,teacher’sprofessionalidentityisdefinedbothasastateofmindandasaprocessinthist
4、hesis.Itisaconceptaboutoneselfandone’sprofession,therolesoneplays,orientationstowardsthesurroundings.Thecurrentresearchathomeismainlyonin-serviceteachersandtuition-freenormalstudents,sothisstudyattemptstofocusonpostgraduates,tryingtotestifyandpromoteformerresearch.Thisstudydiscussesthe
5、currentsituationofEnglishpostgraduates’TPIandtheinfluencingfactorsbasedon201studentsfromJiangxiNormalUniversityandHangzhouNormalUniversity.Bothqualitativeandquantitativemethodologieswillbeadopted,includingaquestionnairemodeledafterYangZhiping’sandaself-designedinterviewoutline.Itattemp
6、tstofindout:1)WhatisthegeneralpictureofEnglishpostgraduates’professionalidentity?2)Isthereanydifferenceindifferentdemographicvariables:grade,researchingfield,withorwithoutteachingexperiences,personalityandnativeplace?3)Universityenvironment,supervisorandself-identity,whichisthemostimpo
