2、ndustrialviewpoint.Avarietyofsuchconductorshavebeenfound.Inordertounderstandthereasonsforhighionicconductivityinthesesol-ids,therehavebeenanumberofexperimental,theoreticalandcomputationalstudiesintheliterature.Weprovidehereasurveyoftheseinvestigationswithfocusonwhatisknownandelaborateoniss
3、uesthatstillremainunresolved.Conductivitydependsonanumberoffactorssuchaspresenceofinterstitialsites,ionsize,temperature,crystalstructureetc.Wediscusstherecentresultsfromatomisticcomputersimula-tionsonthedependenceofconductivityinNASICONsasafunctionofcomposition,temperature,phasechangeandca

6、oasmixedconductors,whilethetermsolidelectrolyteandintercalationelectroderespecti-+superionicconductororfastionconductorisre-vely.ThediscoveryofgoodNamobilityinglassby4servedforgoodionicconductorswithnegligibleWarburgaswellasthefirsttransferencenumber15electronicconductivity.Oneofthemostimp
7、ortantmeasurementsbyWarburgandTegetmeierareim-useofsuperionicconductorsis,aselectrolytesinportantcontributionsinthestudyofsolidioniccon-batteryapplicationsandhence,often,theyarere-ductors.Yttria(Y2O3)stabilizedzirconia(ZrO2),6ferredtoassolidelectrolytesaswell.
