3、olutioncontainingsacrificialelectrondonorssuchastriethanolamineandmethanol(100mL,10vol.%).InthecaseofdepositionofPt,anappropriateamountofH2PtCl6wasdissolved24inthereactantsolution.Forwaterphotooxidation,0.1gofthecatalystand0.2gofLa2O3powderweredispersedintheaqueoussilvernitratesolution(0.01M,10

4、0mL).La2O3,abasicmetaloxide,buffersthepHofthereactantsolutiontopH8–9duringthereaction.Thereactantsolutionwasevacuatedseveraltimestoremoveaircompletelypriortoirradiationundera300Wxenonlampandawaterfilter.Thewavelengthoftheincidentlightwascontrolledbyusinganappropriatecut-offfilter.Thetemperature

5、ofthereactantsolutionwasmaintainedatroomtemperaturebyaflowofcoolingwaterduringthereaction.Theevolvedgaseswereanalyzedbygaschromatography.TheexperimentalerrorintherateofH2evolutionwaswithin15%.Thequantumefficiency11(Φ)wasestimatedbythemethoddescribedpreviouslyusingtheequation:Φ(%)=(2×H/I)×100,wh

6、ereHandIrepresentthenumbersofevolvedH2moleculesandincidentphotons,respectively.Forsimplicity,itisassumedthatallincidentphotonsare121–1absorbedbythephotocatalyst.Thenumberofincidentphotons(3.8×10photons·hat420–460nm)wasmeasuredusingacalibratedSiphotodiode.X-raypowderdiffraction.Measurementsofpow
