1、I.INTRODUCTIONWaveformdesigninthepresenceofsignal-dependantnoise,i.e.,clutter,isoneoftheMIMORadarWaveformmostintensivelyinvestigatedproblemsinradarsystems[1—4].DuetotheinterdependenceofclutterDesigninthePresenceofandsignal,waveformdesigniscomplicatedandno
2、analyticalsolutionhasbeensuggestedyet.MostoftheClutterexistingliteraturedealswithpointtargets.Recently,Kayin[5]hasshownthatforoptimaldetectionwiththeNeymanPearsoncriterion,transmitsignalsmustwhitentheclutter.However,astheresolutionoftheradarsincreases,abe
3、ttermodelbecomesthatofanT.NAGHIBIF.BEHNIAextendedtargetwhichisspreadinrange,azimuth,andSharifUniversityofTechnologyDoppler.Recentlyagreatinteresthasemergedinmultiple-inputmultiple-output(MIMO)radars[6—13].AnextendedtargetmodelforMIMOradarshasWaveformdesig
4、nfortargetidentificationandclassificationbeendevelopedin[6].ItisshownthatMIMOradarinmultiple-inputmultiple-output(MIMO)radarsystemshassystemsenjoybenefitssuchasangulardiversity[9],high-resolutiontargetlocalization[14],andbeenstudiedinseveralrecentworks.In
5、previousworks,optimalgoodparameteridentifiability[15,16].Adaptivesignalsforanestimationalgorithmarefoundassumingthatprocessinginwaysnotpossibleinconventionalradarsonlysignal-independentnoiseexists.Thisworkextendspreviousisemployedtoimproveclutterrejection
6、intheseresearchbystudyingthecasewhereclutterisalsopresent.Weradars[17,18].developaproceduretodesigntheoptimalwaveformwhichSinceaMIMOradarsystemcantransmitmultipleminimizesestimationerrorattheoutputoftheminimummeanprobingsignalsviaitsantennas,betteroptimiz
7、ationsquarederror(MMSE)estimatorsintwoscenarios.Inthethroughwaveformselectionispossible.Forexample,firstonedifferenttransmitantennasseeuncorrelatedaspectsin[19]and[20]useofmultiplesignalswitharbitraryofthetarget,andweconsiderthecorrelatedtargetaspectscros
8、s-correlationmatriceshasbeenproposed,andinthesecondone.Estimationerrorinthefirstcasewillnotitisshownthatthecross-correlationmatrixcanzeroevenifthetransmitpowertendstoinfinity.Thisvalueofbechosentoachieveadesiredspat
