2、saddressedhere.Robustdesignisneededasanumberofparametersmaybeunknown,e.g.,thetargetscatteringcovari-ancematrixandthedisturbancecovariancematrix.Followingamin-maxapproach,thecodematrixisdesignedtominimizetheworst-casecostoverallpossibletarget(ortargetanddisturbance)covariancematrices.Thesa
3、memin-maxsolutionappliestomanycommonlyadoptedperformancemeasures,suchastheaveragesignal-to-disturbanceratio,thelinearminimummeansquareerrorinestimatingthetargetresponse,themutualinformationbetweenthereceivedsignalechoesandthetargetresponse,andtheapproximationofthedetectionprobabilityinthe

6、[1][4].UndertargetwithextensionandinthetransmitandreceiveuncorrelatedGaussianscatteringanddisturbance,thetargetsensoralignmentdirection,respectivelyispresent,anddetectabilitymaybeenhancedbytransmittingasetoforthog-beingthesensorspacingatthetransmitterandreceiver.Assumeonalwaveformsandperf
7、ormingdisjointenergydetectionatthatthetimedelaysofthedifferentpathsbetweeneachtransmiteachreceiveantenna.Inthiscase,theprobabilityofatargetantennaandthetargetarenotresolvable,whichinturnimpliesmissvanishesasthethpowerofthesignal-to-disturbancethatthebandwidthofthetr
