4、tentiontime(HRT)andnumberofaluminumplatesAccepted28February2010betweenanodeandcathodeplatesonremovalefficiencyareinvestigated.ExperimentalresultsshowedAvailableonline6March2010thatbyincreasingHRT,removalefficiencyincreasesbutafter5minchangesarenegligible.Therefore,thetota
5、lHRTrequiredisonly5min.ThemoreHRT,themoreelectricalcurrentisneededinordertoachieveKeywords:toconstantvoltageandtemperatureinsystem.Inaddition,itisfoundthatpHvaluedecreasesfrom6.91Electrocoagulationto4.6duringfirst10minbutitincreasesupto9.5during50min.Aftertreatment,theflu
6、orideconcen-FluorideremovalTreatedindustrialwastewatertrationwasreducedfrominitial4.0–6.0mg/Ltolowerthan0.5mg/L.ThepHoftheinfluentisfoundasaHydraulicretentiontimeveryimportantvariablewhichaffectsfluorideremovalsignificantly.TheoptimalrangefortheinfluentisAdsorptionkinetic6.
7、0–7.0atwhichnotonlyeffectivedefluoridationcanbeachieved,butalsonopHreadjustmentisneededaftertreatment.Moreover,increasingnumberofaluminumplatesbetweenanodeandcathodeplatesinbipolarsystemdoesnotsignificantlyaffectfluorideremoval.Finally,thekineticanalysisisdoneforthesystemw
