4、csisthatcontextualspecificationcanmoveonevenifspecificationofeachcontextualelementconstantlyremainstobefulfilled.1.INTRODUCTIONEverythinginthisempiricalworldoccursinrelationtoeverythingelsealsoresidingthere.Ifwewanttoaddressmotionsorchangesoftheconstituentmaterialbodi

5、eswhetherphysical,chemicalorbiological,theinterrelatedconditionsinwhichsomethingofinterestoccurswillbecomeasubjectmatterofprimeconcern.Acontextisjustabrieftermreferringtotheinterrelatedconditions.Thisperspectivecomestoremindusthatsuchdynamicscannotbecontext-free,compa

6、redtothecaseofclassicalmechanics(Küppers,1991).TheoriginalformulationofNewtonianclassicalmechanics,ontheotherhand,hasbeencontext-free.Thefirstlawofmechanicsoninertia,thesecondlawonforceandthethirdlawonactionandreaction,allofthemhavebeenstatedastherulesthatlinguistical

7、lydescribechangesinastringwithoutreferencetoelementsoutsideofthestring.Itgoeswithoutsayingthatthecontext-freeformulationofclassicalmechanicshasbeentestedextremelypowerfulinaddressingmotionsandchangesinthesensethatitcanworkwhereverandinwhatevercontexts.Nonetheless,clas

8、sicalmechanicsdoesnotdispensewiththenotionofcontext.Itsimplywouldnotworkunlessthethreelawsarefurthersupplementedbythecontext
