2、postoperation．StatisticdatahadindicatedthathalfofthesepsiswerecausedbyGram-negativebacteria．Lipopolysaccharide(LPS)releasedfromthecytodermofGram—negativebacteriawasconsideredtobethemajormoleculethatWasresponsiblefortheendotoxicsepsis．LPScanstimulateitsthreemaintargetcells—endothelium，macrophageandn

3、eutrophil，whickwillbeactivatedandproducealargenumberofcytokine／chemokines，whichleadstoinflammatorycascadereactionoutofcontrol，followedbyendotoxicshock，tissuedamagesandmultipleorgandysfunctionsyndromeconsequently．Inthepast，muchattentionhadbeenpaidtothethreemaintagetcellofLPS．However，therewerefewstud

4、iesonothercellsortissuesthatwerewaitingforexploiting．Liverisanimportantorganinvolvedinsepsis．It’Swellknownthatliverhasanimportaneimmunologicfunctionbesidesplayingakeyroleinmetabolism．ItCanproduceandreleasealargenumberofacutephaseproteinsinresponsetoinflammatorystress．Therefor,liverplaysallimportant

5、roleinpromptdefense．However，moremechanismaboutliveractinginsepsisandthechangesofitselfduringdevelopmentofthediseasearenotclear．Wewereinterestedinexploitingthechangesofliverduringthedevelopmentofthesepsisorsepticshockandtrytoexplainitsmolecularmechanism．InOUrresearch,theanimalmodelofendotoxicshockwe
