1、AbstractAfterdecadesofdevelopment,independentinstituteshavebeenthrivingtobeessentialpartsinChinesehighereducation.Currentlytheyaretransformingfromscoped-basedtoquality-basedpatterns,inwhichqualityandcharacteristicarethekeys.Therefore,practiceteachinghasbeenincreasinglyc
2、oncernedbythepublic.Peoplefocusmoreattentiononfurtheringthereformofpracticeteachingandthusonconstructingnewteachingsystemforappliedtalents.Thisthesis,hence,throwssomeinsightsintopracticeteachinginindependentinstitutes.Itputsanemphasisonthesystematicfeaturesandmakesadeep
3、explorationinthefollowingfoursystemizing.First,astoteachingaims,thepurposeofcollegeeducationisnotonlytoequipstudentswiththeories,butwithprofessionalskillsandqualificationsinordertoperfecttheircapabilityofadaptingtofuturecareer.Second,astoteachingcontentandcourses,practi
4、ceeducationcanbedividedintothreestages:primary,comprehensiveandcreative.Thirdandfourth,astoadministrationandsupportingsystem,itinvolvestheentireteachingprocess,thediversityofteachingapproachesandtheopeningofteachingproject.Thatsystemcontributestoenhancingstudents’cognit
5、iveability,professionalqualificationandinnovation.However,despitethesignificantrolesthatsystemplaysinindependentcollegeeducation,itisdifficultforthecollegestoignorethetremendousinfluenceoftheirmaternaluniversity.Asaresult,theytendtoemphasizetheorywhileneglectingpractice
6、,emphasizein-classteachingwhileneglectingout-of-classeducation.Practiceisvirtuallyseenasasubsidiarytooloutofclass.Thebarrierstopracticeeducationareasfollows:lackoffunds,inadequatequalifiedteachers,unreasonableset-upofcurriculum,andinefficientreform.Finally,basedontheabo
7、veanalysis,bytakingNITasexample,theauthorpresentsaconstructiveproposalforbuildingcharacteristicpracticeeducationsysteminindependentcolleges.Firstly,thecollegesshouldchangeideasandrenewsuchteachingphilosophyas“moreprofoundknowledge,moredelicateskills”forstudentsandcombin
