3、ontrolparameter,differentroutestochaosweredescribed.Theaimofthispaperistostudytheexperimentalroutestochaosinaballbearingandtoconfirmwhethertheoreticalpredictionsofthephenomenaarerealistic.Anexperimentaltestbenchhasbeenusedandanumericalprocedurehasbeenproposedforo
4、bservingPoincare´maps.Asthecontrolparametervariesthebearingclearlyshowstheappearanceofinstabilityinitsmotion.Twodifferentroutestochaosaredescribedasexpectedfromthetheory.Thefirstrouteisrelatedtothefirstresonantfrequencyofthebearing.Itisasub-harmonicroute.Thesecond
