2、yprovideahighefficiencylightreadout.Therefore,thenumberofPMTsusedinsuchdetectorsisincreasingdramatically.Asaconsequence,thenumberofthesignalandHVcablestotheoutsideworldbecomesmoreproblematic;feedthroughsandconnectorsaredifficulttorealizewithinlimitedspaceofthedetector.Furthermore,airandimpuritiesth

3、atcouldbetrappedbythecoaxialcablesthenreleasedinthecleanvolumeofthedetector.Thisforsurehasaharmfulimpactontheresponseofthedetector.Theproposedconnectionschemeholds32PMTsincludingtheHVandsignalcablesina2”wide,0.004”thickflexibleKaptonstriplines.Inthiswork,thePMTsignalusing1.5mlongunshieldedstripline

4、iscomparedwiththesignalusingcoaxialcableofthesamelength(conventionalscheme).MinimalchangestothePMTbasearerequiredwithoutanyriskofadditionalimpuritiesorradioactivity.Thesignalqualityiscompatibleandintroducesthenewschemeasapromisingsolution.TheHVconnectionscanbeeasilyrealizedwithoutadditionalcapacito

5、rsonthebasebygroundingthesecondbutlastdynode.Thissatisfiesthestriplinespecificationsbyreducingthevoltageontheanodetolessthan300V.ThecathodeandtherestdynodesareconnectedtonegativeHV.Thecrosstalkwastakenintoconsideration.Finally,thisnewschemepreservesthepossibilitytoadjustthegainofeachPMTindividually
