3、ss.However,thereisahighfailurerateintheimplementationofTQM.Thekeyissueinthisregardisthatcompanieshavedevotedrelativelylittleattentiontohumanresourcesmanagement(HRM).SeveralacademicsandpractitionershaveassertedthatsynergyandcongruenceamongHRMpracticesarecriticaltotheimplementationofTQM.Howev

4、er,thereisrelativelylittleempiricalevidencetosupportthiscontention.Thepurposeofthisresearchistoconductanempiricalstudyonhigh-techfirms,inordertoanalysetheimpactsofHRMpracticesontheimplementationofTQM.Design/methodology/approach–Inthisstudy,aresearchframeworkrelatedtoHRMpractices,TQMpractices

5、,andqualityperformanceswasdeveloped.Basedontheframework,aquestionnairewasdesignedandsenttotheHRmanagersorchiefexecutiveofficers(CEOs)ofhigh-techcompaniesinTaiwantoinvestigatetheeffectofHRMpracticesontheimplementationandpracticeofTQM.Findings–ThestudyconfirmsthatHRMsignificantlyaffectsTQMpracti

6、ces.ThestudyconcludedthatHRMpracticeshaveasignificantlypositiveeffectontheimplementationofTQM.ImplementingHRMpracticescanalsohaveasignificanteffectonemployeeandcustomersatisfaction.Italsopositivelyaffected“employees’qualityawareness”and“corporateimage”.Thequalityperformanceswerealsosignificant
