2、ngue.Therefore,bothintheforeignlanguageteachingtheoryandintheforeignlanguageteachingpractice,theinfluenceofthelearner'smothertongueisanunavoidablefactorAsatooltoknowtheworld,everylanguagestandsforanapproachtoperceivetheworld.Learningalanguagemeanslearninganotherapproachtoperceivetheworld.Thesystemof

5、uagethathasbeenpreviously(andperhapsimperfectly)acquired.Insecondlanguagelearning,thisphenomenonisaverygeneralpsychologicalprocess-thatofrelyingonpriorknowledgetofacilitatenewlearning.Forthefirstplace,beforelearningaforeignlanguage,theexperienceofthelearnerisacquiredandpreservedthroughhisnativelangu

6、age,sotheseexperienceswillbeusedfortheforeignlanguagelearning.Forthesecond,thenativelanguageservesasatoolfortheforeignlanguagelearningandtheknowledgeandskillofthenativelanguagewillbetransferredtotheforeignlanguageunconsciously.Sincethereareequivalents,similaritiesanddifferencesbetweenthenativeandthe
