2、ycannotanswerwhichbrainareas’localactivitiesarechanged.Amplitudeoflow—frequencefluctuation(ALFF)andRegionalhomogeneity(ReHo)areallproposedbyZangetal,whichCanreflectspontaneousneuralactivity,havebecomemainindexestostudylocalbrainactivityinresting-state.Sofar,theyhavebeenusedtoinvestigatephysi

3、calstateandavarietyofbraindiseases,whicharepartlyconsistentwiththepathophysiologicalchangesinthesedisorders.Thereisnostudyonregionalbrainactivitychangesofearlyblindinresting—state.Inourstudy,weuseALFFandReHotoanalyzechangesoflocalbrainactivityinresting-state.MateralsandMethodsAlltogethersixt

4、eenearlyblindandthirty-twoage-andgender-matchedsightedsubjectsenrolledinourstudy.Resting-statefMRISCanandsagittalstructuralimageswereallcollectedusinga3.0一Tscanner.Allpreprocessingstepswerecarriedoutusingthestatisticalparametricmapping(SPM8,http://www.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm),includingtimeslic

5、ing,reducingheadmovement,normalizedtotheMNI,resamplingto3x3x3mmcubicvoxels,aband—passfrequencyfilter(0.0l_o.08Hz,toreducelow一行equ伽cydriftandhigh-frequencynoise),smoothedwitha6mmfullwidthathalfmaximum.TheunnormalizedandnormalizedALFFandReHovalueswerecalculatedusingspecificalgorithms,brainarea

6、swithsignificantchangesinALFForReHovaluesbetweengroupswereacquiredbyatwo-samplettest.TostudytherelationshipofbetweenALFFandtheunderlyingbloodoxygenlevel—dependent(BOLD)signals,wemeasuredtheactivityamplitude(AM)ofthewholebrainandfiveregionsofinterest(ROI)withsignificantlyincreasedALFFvaluesin

7、theearlyblindunderanormalizedmethod.AfterwegottheReHovalueofeveryvoxel,anindividualReHomapwasobtainedonavoxelbyVOXelbasisusingRESTsoftware.Toreducetheeffectofindividualvariance,wenormalizedtheRehovalueofeachvoxelbydividingthemeanRehoofthewholebrain
