2、cessarytostudythemechanismofnerveinjury,repairandregenerationunderimmunosuppressivestate．Inthepresentstudy,weexaminednerveregenerationandfunctionalrecoveryinratsreceivingFK506(tacrolimus)1．0mg／kgperday,comparingwithuntreatedcontrolanimals．Morphometricanalysisoftheregeneratingfiberwasevaluatedbylight

3、andelectronmicroscopy．Weightofsoleusmuscleandcontractilityoftricepslegmusclewasmeasuredincomparisonwiththeunopermedcontralateralleg．Sciaticfunctionindex(SFl)andSomato—SensoryEvokedPotentials(SSEP)evaluatedrecoveryoffunction．Besides，10casesofclinicalvolunteerweretreatedwithFK506，andregularexamination

4、weredoneforfunctionalevaluation．Preliminaryresults：1．Ratmodelofautogenousnerveregenerationunderimmunosuppressionwasestablished．Alltheoperatedanimalsweredividedintotwogroups：theexperimentalgroupwasimmunosuppressedwithFK506systemically,whiletheotheruntreated—groupascontrolgroup．2．Nerveregenerationrece

5、ivingimmunosuppressionshowedsignificantdifference，comparedwithcontrolgroupbylightandelectronmicroscopy．AxonalamountandareademonstratedagoodrecoveryintheFK506一treatedanimals，andamoreadvancedstageofmyelinationcouldbeseenaswell．3．Recoveryratesofsoleusmuscleweightandcontractilityoftricepsleg6muscleinani

6、malsgivenFK506weresignificantlyhigherthanthatincontrolgroup．4．SFIdemonstratedbetterfunctionalrecoveryoftheinjuriedleginFK506．treatedanimals．5．NosignificantdifferenceoffunctionalrecoverycouldbeseenbetweenanimalstreatedwithFK506temporarilyandcontinuously．6．Mortalityintwogroupsshowednosignificantdiffer
