5、ecriticallyinvolvedinNKcytotoxicityagainstdifferenttargets,includingawiderangeoftumorcellsderivedfromvariousorigins.EventhoughthetumorligandsoftheNCRshavenotbeenidentifiedyet,theselectivemannerbywhichthesereceptorstargettumorcellsmayprovideanexcellentbasisforthedevel
6、opmentofnovelanti-tumortherapies.TotestthepotentialuseoftheNCRsasanti-tumoragents,wegeneratedsolubleNCR-IgfusionproteinsinwhichtheconstantregionofhumanIgG1wasfusedtotheextracellularportionofthereceptor.Wedemonstrate,usingtwodifferenthumanprostatecancercelllines,thatt
7、reatmentwithNKp30-Ig,dramaticallyinhibitstumorgrowthinvivo.ActivatedmacrophageswereshowntomediateanADCCresponseagainsttheNKp30-Igcoatedprostatecelllines.Finally,theIgfusionproteinswerealsodemonstratedtodiscriminatebetweenbenignprostatehyperplasiaandprostatecancer.Thi
