3、rninghasshiftfromtheconcerning“howtoteach”to“howtolearn”(KeithJohnson2000:F24)TheshiftofemphasisdosenotfollowtheprevalentmisleadingsyllogismthatSLAandteachingareseparated.Peoplehaveendeavoredtounveiltheveiloverteachingalanguagelargelybyansweringtheinquiryofhowtoteachforthousandofyears,(
4、RichardsandRodgers2000:1-13).Withtheresolutiontoexplainthisbewilderingfact3tobenefittheteaching,agroupofscholarsinlinguisticsbegantoexploretheacquisitionoflanguagein1970’s,whichestablishedthebranchofappliedlinguistics:SLA.Thus,theinitialgoalofSLAistoservetheteaching.Therefore,SLAandteac
5、hingalanguageareindispensable,thenecessityoftheapplicationofSLAtheoreticalfindingtoteaching. ThisthesisendeavorstodemonstratethefactSLAandteachingareindispensablethroughthedocumentationpertainingSLAfindingsonmotivationandapplicationofthesefindinginChina’sEnglishteaching.Toabidebythepri
