4、edia.Keywords：traditionalEnglishteaching;multimediainEnglishteaching;middleschoolEnglishteaching摘要随着社会和经济的发展，世界对于英语人才的需求越来越大，而且所要求的水平也越来越高。而在传统的外语教学模式下所培养出来的人大都只会读与写,这样的英语被称作“哑巴英语”。因此，传统的英语教学模式受到挑战。随着现代科学技术的不断进步，多媒体被越来越广泛的应用于教学，而对于英语教学而言，多媒体具有尤为重要的意义。11这篇文章主要是论述多媒体在中学英语教学中的重要性。同时，这篇文章列出了
