2、usinessesofalltypesareoperatinginternationallyinvariousways.Withchina’saccessiontotheWTOtherehasbeenadramaticincreaseinthenumberofChineseenterprisesandproductsflowingintotheinternationalmarketwhileatthesametimetheincreasedtransparencyandadvantagesthatWTOmembershipconfershaveusheredinanewseaoffore

3、igngoodsintoourdomesticmarket.Tosurviveinthefierceglobalmarket,theyhavetomakealotofpromotionsfortheirproductsinforeignmarkets.Inthissituation,advertisementtranslationisincreasinglyshowingitsimportance.However,inallnationalmarkets,particularlyinChina,unsatisfyingtranslationisappearinginmediaeveran

4、dagain,whichnotonlymeansfinancialloss,butalsoimpairsthepublicimageofmanufacturersaswell.Hence,itbecomesanurgenttaskforthosedevotedtotranslationpracticetoseekasuitabletheoryforguidance.Therefore,thisthesiswilltalkabouttheadvertisingEnglishanditstranslation.Firstofall,Iwilltalkaboutthepurposeandsig

5、nificanceofthestudy,itincludestheimportanceoftheadvertising,then,Iwilltalkaboutthedimensionsofadvertisingand,inthispartIwilltakeabriefintroductiontoadvertisingandthedefinitionofadvertising.Inchapter3Iwillpresentabriefintroductiontofunctionalequivalence,itincludesitsbackgroundanddefinition.Then,Iw
