4、eybelieve,deniedthemqualitylife.Despitegeneralknowledgeandblamestradedbypartiesinvolved,thestudyusedqualitative-historicalnarrative-approachtointerviewrepresentativesofcommunities,oilandgascompanies,andGovernmenttodiscoverrootcausesofthecrises.CopingtheorybyLazarus
5、andFolkmanandcrisisdecisiontheorybySweenywereutilizedtounderstandthereasoningandresponsesofthepeopletothedecisionsandmanagementstrategiesoftheGovernmentandoilandgascompanies.ResultsrevealedtherootcausesofthecrisesasspecificpoliciesandstrategiesoftheGovernmentandoil
6、andgascompanies,ethniccrisesintheregion,environmentalpollutionanddegradationandfailuretoremediatepollutedareas,lackofbasicinfrastructures,lackofhumanandinfrastructuraldevelopment,unemployment,andnoninvolvementofthepeopleindecisionsaffectingtheregion.Findingswereuse
