3、onmentalperformanceoffirms(WuandDunn,1995).Itisthereforeinterestingtoknowwhichcontingenciesleadfirmstodevelopproactiveenvironmentalinitiativesinthisareaofactivity,i.e.whatcircumstancesfavourtheimplementationofenvironmentalpracticesinlogistics.environ

4、mentallogisticspractices.Specifically,thispaperanalysestheeffectoftheperceivedstakeholderenvironmentalpressureandtheenvironmentalawarenessofmanagersandexplorestheextenttowhichtheinteractionbetweenthesetwovariablesexistsandisrelevant.Inthissecondrespe

5、ct,thispaperexpresslyanalysestheextenttowhichtheenvironmentalawarenessofmanagersmoderatestherelationshipbetweentheperceivedpressureandtheimplementationofenvironmentallogisticspracticesandtheextenttowhichthispressuremediatestherelationshipbetweenmanag

6、erialvaluesandtheimplementationofenvironmentallogisticspractices.First,environmentallogisticspracticesDifferentauthorshavepointedoutthattheenvironmentalproactivityoffirmsismanifestednotonlythroughthetransformationoftheirinternalactivities(productdesi

7、gnandproductionprocesses)butalsothroughtheintroductionofnewpracticesinthelogisticsofsupplyanddistributionthatlinkthemtootherparticipants(suppliersandcustomers)inthevaluechain.Aseriesofenvironmentalpracticeshasbeenidentifiedorsuggestedforthemanagement
