4、nurebecauseofourown,co-authors’,orjournalreferees’procrastination.Thereisagrowingliteratureineconomicsthatassumespeoplehaveself-controlproblems,conceitedofasatime-inconsistenttasteforimmediategratification.Anoftendiscussedimplicationofsuchpreferencesisprocrastination.1thesemodelsofprocrastinationas
5、sumethatapotentialprocrastinatorhasonlyonetaskunderconsideration,andhencetheonlyconcerniswhenthepersoncompletesthetask.Inmostsituations,however,apersonmustdecidenotonlywhentocompleteatask,butalsowhichtasktocomplete,orhowmuchefforttoapplytoachosentask.Ifapersonmustreviseapaperforresubmission,shecane
