1、ABSTRACTIt’Snecessarytoactivelyimplementtransitsignalpriofi够technologieswhendevelopingurbanpublictransportation．Generally,transitsignalpriority(TSP)controlCanuseadvancedtechnologiestogiveextragreentimetobusesinordertomaximizebusefficiencyandprovidemorebenefitstobuspasseng

2、ers，suchastrafficdetection，automaticcontrolandcomputersciencetechnologies．Moreover,theTSPcontrolCanalsoimprovepublictransittripcontributionrate，attractmorepassengerstotakebus，astorestraintheincreasingofpassengercars，andrelieveurbantrafficcongestion．Underlimitedroadandtraf

3、ficresourcesituation，TSP,oneofthemostefficienttrafficcontrolmethods，couldimproveregularityandpunctualityofpublictransitservices．ThispaperstudiesshowtogranttheTSPcontrolwithmulti-priorityrequestsfromdifferentbusroutesattheisolatedsignalizedintersection．Theproposedmethodwil

4、lconsiderthebenefitofbuspassengersandpassenger-carusersatthesignalizedintersection．First，thisstudyestimatesbuspassengerwaitingtimeatthenextbusstop，andthencalculatesthetotalpersondelayofentireintersection．Theobjectivefunctionistomimmizethebuspassengerwaitingtimewithoutincr

5、easingthetotalpersondelayattheentireintersection．Finally,aplatformoftrafficsimulationbasedonVISSIM，anunbiasedmicrosimulationtool，isemployedtoevaluatetheperformanceofthedevelopedmodel．Thispapermainlyfocusesontheseaspects：(1)TheexistingTSPcontrolmethodsarereviewedintheSecti

6、on2，suchaspassivepriorityandactivepriority．Andthencomparethesetwomethods，selectactiveprioritycontrolasmycontrolstrategy．Moreover,aimingtolimitationofsimulationtechnologies，thispaperpresentsaplatformoftrafficsimulationforlarge—scaleroadnetwork．(2)Underheadway-basedbusopera
