3、kgroundofculturalglobalization,whenpreservingtheculturaldiversitybeingamoreurgentissuethaneverbefore.Thefirstchapterservesasanintroduction,reviewinghowtheargumentofdomesticationandforeignizationcameintobeingandmakingdefinitionsofthetwoschools.Italsointroducestheaimsaswellasthes
4、copeofresearchofthisthesis.ChapterTwoistheliteraturereview.SectionOneandSectionTwopresenttheideasandtheoriesofthesetwoschoolsrespectively.SectionThreeistheauthor’sopinion.Itexaminesthetheoriesoftherepresentativesofdomesticationschool,andrevealsthelimitationofthisschool.Itanalys
5、esthemostinfluentialtranslationtheoryinChina—functionalequivalence,andpointsoutthatbecauseoftheradicaldifferencesacrossculturesandtheinseparablerelationshipbetweenlanguageandculture,functionalequivalenceishardlyachievable,so,thisschool,althoughdominantinthefieldoftranslation,do
6、eshaveavitaldefect,thatis,itconformstheculturalfeaturesofthesourcelanguagetothatofthetargetone.ChapterThreeisaresearchofthefundamentalaimoftranslation.Itproposesthatunderthecircumstanceofculturalglobalization,whenChinesecultureisinanunfavorablesituation,itisparticularlyessentia
