4、8．3摘要美国同居数量的急剧增长引起了对美国同居问题的探讨。在许多美国人越来越倾向于同居这种新的家庭模式之时，人们对同居的认识和理解也各不相同。同居研究者提出三种观点。第一，同居就是结婚之前短暂的阶段。第二，同居也可被视为单身。第三，同居等同于婚姻。由于同居在表面结构上似于婚姻，许多人趋于最后这一观点。本篇文章是针对上述第兰个观点“同居等同于婚姻’’，展开分析。本文作者认为“同居等同于婚姻"包含两个内涵。第一个内涵是认同同居的普遍性，第三个内涵是认同同居的代替性。作者从历史发展的层面用数字来说明美
