2、ngtodifferenttranslationpurposestodealwiththetranslationoftheseterms,ideas,anddescribesseveralspecificmethodsfortranslationofwords. 1Introductionlanguageandcultureinteractingwitheachother,languageisthecarrierofculture,humansocietyhastheirownuniquecultureandtraditionisreflectedinthelangua
3、ge,itcarriesadifferentlanguagetoexpresstheirculturalimprint."Translationisnotonlyabilingualevent,isalsoacross-culturalactivities"①.WithregardtoculturalfactorsshouldbetakentodoastheRomansofthetreatmentistheprincipleofthecultureofthereaderfromthetranslationpointofview,tomeetthereader'sreactio
4、nsandfeelingsoftranslation,itshouldbebasedontheprincipleofrespectfortheoriginalculture,andhonestlyreflectthesourceofculturalimagesandcontentforreaderstoenjoythe"exotic",whichinthetranslationprofessionhasbeenaboneofcontentionandamajorchallenge.Infact,duetolanguageandculturaldifferences,wecan
5、notuseoneortwostandards,orsimplyuse"naturalized"or"alienation"intheprocessoftranslationwillbeabletohandleavarietyofculturalphenomenon.Moreover,the"naturalization"and"alienation"intranslationisnotentirelyopposite,andtheycomplementeachotherthroughouttheentireprocessoftranslation.Thetranslator
6、isthetranslationprocessinthemainbodyshouldnotonlybeproficientinlanguages,andshouldbefamiliarwithbothChineseandEnglishlanguagetoreflectculture.OnlybycorrectlygraspthewordsintheEnglish-ChineseculturalconnotationimpliedinordertoreduceerrorsintheTranslationtranslation,erroneoustranslation,asked
