3、bility,formingtheeffectivestudystrategiesandestablishingthebasisfortheirsustainabledevelopment,whichisnotmerelythelogicaljumping-offofEnglishteachingandqualitystandardbutalsoitseternalend-result.Thereisnodoubtthatscientificandeffectiveteachingassessmentistheimportantmeansbywhichpeoplecancheckwhet
4、hertheaimiswellrealized.I.ThebackgroundandgistofteachingassessmentThenewcriterionofEnglishcoursenotonlyrepresentsthedevelopingtrendofforeignlanguageteachinginmoderntimes,butcoagulatesthelatestachievementsintheresearchonforeignlanguageteachinginourcountry.ItadvocatestheLearning-CenteredEducation,t
5、hetokenofwhichisTask-basedLanguageTeaching.Thiskindofeducationalnotionlaysimportanceonlearningandmeetingtherealdemandsofthestudents.Itssupremeaimistotrainthestudentsasclearandeffectivecommunicators,self-guidinglife-longlearners,creativeproblem-solvers,responsibleandparticipantcitizens,cooperative
6、andexcellentworkersandintegrativethinkersfullofinformation.DavidNunan(1999)said,“Knowledgeofgrammaticalstructureswasnoguaranteeofbeingabletousethoserulesforcommunication.Learnerswhowereabletoidentifyinstancesofruleviolation,andwhocouldevenstatetherule,frequentlyviolatedtheruleswhenusinglanguagefo
