3、inuncertain.AmongtreatmentsforAD,thereisareneinasapotentialmedication.Studiesofthesubstancehavefoundalargeamountofconsumptionassociatedbenefits,includinganti-inflammatoryandantioxidanteffects.Itsakeitincreasinglyinterestingtoscientists,entofcancers,arthri
4、tis,variouscardiovasculardiseases,andneurodegenerativediseases.Morerecently,curcuminhasbeenshoultipotenteffectsagainstvarioussymptomsofAD.Amongotherthings,curcuminhasbeenabletoamelioratetoxicityofbeta-amyloidspecies,akeypartofADnuerodegeneration,invivoand
5、invitro,andhasbeenabletoinhibitmultiplepartsalongsuspectedADpathology.ThegoalofthisreviemarizetheresearchdoneoncurcuminentforADandADrelatedpathology.Keyer’sDisease,Curcumin,Beta-Amyloid1.IntroductionAlzheimer’sdisease(AD),themostmonformofdementia,affectso
6、neinnineAmericansovertheageof65[1].AsthepopulationoftheUnitedStatesexperiencesademographicshifttothatof1995[2].Assuch,ADposesanincreasinglylargeproblemtothegeneralpopulationthatremainstobefullyexplored.In1907,AloisAlzheimerfirstdescribedaneurodegenerative
7、conditionhesayloid(Aβ)peptide,ofanyofthepeptidesclumpeduptoformsenileplaquesalbraincellfunctioning[4].TheprevalenceofAβplaquesinADpatientsanditsneurotoxiceffectsthusmakeAβalikelycandidateforabiomarkerofthedisease[5].Thoughsenileplaquesremainapathologicalh
