3、uresortransferofspeechactstrategiesfromtheirnativelanguagetothetargetlanguage,andstudents’tendencyofjudgingorinterpretingbehaviordifferentfromtheirsaccordingtotheirownculturestandard.Forexample,ifwewanttoexpress“杰克,我明天可以去你家?帷保?wehavetwochoices:canIgotoyourhousetomorrow,jack?orcanIcomet

4、oyourhousetomorrow,jack?MostChinesestudentswillchoosethefirstonewithouthesitation.ButactuallythesecondoneispreferredbynativeEnglishspeakers.Itisatypicalusageofadeicticshifttoshowpoliteness.  Conflictofdifferentvaluesystemsandstudents’insuffientexposuretothetargetcultureaswellasalackofc

5、omparativestudiesofthetwoculturesarealso“snags”incommunication.Inchina,sentencesas“Howoldareyou?”“Areyoumarried?”“Howaboutyoursalary?”areoftenusedtostartconversationsbetweenstrangers,whileinthewesternculture,asprivacyisessential,thosequestionsareconsideredastabooquestions.  Impropertea
