2、ogress,qualityandcostoftheproject,whichwilleasilyresultindifferentkindsofdelayeventsandfurtherthedelayingeneralprogress.Atpresent,domesticengineeringmarketattachesmoreimportancetotheclaimsoncostandqualitythanthoseondelayinconstructionperiod,especiallydelayscausedbytheconstructionpar

3、ty.Mostcontractorsfocusoneconomicclaimintheconstructionotherthantheclaimonconstructionperiod,andsomeevenknowverylittleaboutit.Thereasonisthat,ononehand,domesticcontractorshaveaninsufficientconceptaboutclaimonconstructionperiod,payinglittleattentiontothevalueoftimecost;ontheotherhand

4、andmoreimportantly,theexistingcommonanalysismethodforconstructionperioddelayfocusesontheoreticalstudywithoutsufficientconsiderationtothedifficultiesinactualexecution,andthereforetherearefewsuccessfulcasesofclaimonconstructionperioddelay.Thetraditionalanalysismethodforconstructionper

5、ioddelayfirstlyanalyzestheresponsibilityofeveryunitprojectwhereconstructionperioddelayhappens,thendeterminesresponsiblepartiesofdelayevents,andfinallyconductscomprehensiveconsiderationontheireffectsonthedelayingeneralconstructionperiod.Owingtothedominantstatusoftheemployerduringthep

6、rojectexecution,itisunabletodeterminetheresponsibilityforadelayeventtimelyafterithappens.Hence,itisunpracticaltodeterminetheresponsibilityforalldelayeventsbeforecarryingouttheworktothenextstep,andthisisalsothemainreasonforthedifficultclaimsonconstructionperiodindomesticprojects.This

7、paperappliesnetworkmethodtoanalyzetherelationshipbetweenconstructionperioddelayinunitprojectandthedelayingeneralconstructionperiod.Itimprovesthetraditionalresponsibilitydeterminationprocessforconstructionperioddelayandthecalculationmethod.Thereisnoneedtodividetheresponsibilityforall
