5、neart,andinwhichtechniques,conceptualmeaningandpathophysiologicalaspect.Materialsandmethods:Weexamined27,614artworkscreatedby2,856authorsandpresentedinartliterature,andinGoogleimagessearch.Results:Thecerebralgyriwereshownin0.85%oftheartworkscreatedby2.35%ofthe
6、authors.TheconceptofthebrainwasfirstmentionedinancientEgyptsome3,700yearsago.ThefirstartisticdrawingoftheconvolutionswasmadebyLeonardodaVinci,andthefirstcolourpicturebyanunknownItalianauthor.RembrandtvanRijnwasthefirsttopaintthegyri.Dozensofmodernauthors,whoar
7、eprofessionalartists,medicalexpertsordesigners,presentedthecerebralconvolutionsindrawings,paintings,digitalworksorsculptures,withvariousaesthetic,symbolicandmetaphoricalconnotation.Someartisticcompositionsandnaturalformsshowagyralpattern.Theconvolutions,whosec
8、orticallayersenablethecognitivefunctions,canbeaffectedbyvariousdisorders.Someartistssufferedfromthosedisorders,andsomeotherspresentedthemintheirartworks.Conclusions:Thecerebralconv
