3、alflowvelocity(FV).Wecomparedthreemethodsofautoregulationassessmentin288traumaticbraininjury(TBI)patientsmanagedintheNeurocriticalCareUnit:(1)IR-basedARI;(2)transferfunction(TF)phase,gain,andcoherence;and(3)meanflowindex(Mx).AutoregulationindexwascalculatedusingtheTFestimation(W
4、elchmethod)andclassifiedaccordingtotheoriginalTiecks’model.Mxwascalculatedasacorrelationcoefficientbetween10-secondaveragesofABPandFVusingamoving300-seconddatawindow.Transferfunctionphase,gain,andcoherencewereextractedintheverylowfrequency(VLF,0to0.05Hz)andlowfrequency(LF,0.05to
5、0.15Hz)bandwidths.Westudiedtherelationshipbetweentheseparametersandalsocomparedthemwithpatients’Glasgowoutcomescore.Thecalculationswereperformedusingbothcerebralperfusionpressure(CPP;suffix‘c’)asinputandABP(suffix‘a’).TheresultshowedasignificantrelationshipbetweenARIandMxwhenusin
6、geitherABP(r=−0.38,Po0.001)orCPP(r=−0.404,Po0.001)asinput.Transferfunctionphaseandcoherence_aweresignificantlycorrelatedwithARI_aandARI_c(Po0.05).OnlyARI_a,ARI_c,Mx_a,Mx_c,andphase_cweresignificantlycorrelatedwithpatients’outcome,withMx_cshowingthestrongestassociation.JournalofC
