3、ssumesanyGaussiansystemtobevalidasaspace-timecoordinatesystem.Giventhemathematicalexistenceoftheco-movinglocalMinkowskispacealongatime-likegeodesicinaLorentzmanifold,acrucialquestionforasatisfactionoftheequivalenceprincipleiswhetherthegeodesicrepresentsaphysicalfree
4、fall.Forinstance,ageodesicofanon-constantmetricisunphysicaliftheaccelerationonarestingobserverdoesnotexist.ThisanalysisismodeledafterEinsteinillustrationoftheequivalenceprinciplewiththecalculationoflightbending.Tojustifyhiscalculationrigorously,itisnecessarytoderiv
