1、摘要爱德华·摩根·福斯特是二十世纪英国最杰出的小说家之一。他一生共写了6部长篇小说。他先后两次游历印度，并于1924年6月出版了他最重要的小说《印度之行》。此后，福斯特得到了广泛的国际认可，也得到了文学评论家们的关注。《印度之行》也被普遍认为是其经典之作。自出版以来，《印度之行》就一直倍受评论界的关注，被认为是一部关于政治冲突的小说。但在20世纪80年代后，当后殖民主义文学成为最受读者们关注的文学和文学批评流派之一后，学者和文评家们又把《印度之行》誉为后殖民主义文学的经典作品。尽管读者和学者们大多从政治角度研
