5、hinaPeninsulaCorridor.ThisprojectisintendedtoconnectBangkok’srailwaytoChina'shigh-speedrailway,thusitreceivedhighexpectationfromthegovernmentoftwocountries.Therelevantdepartmentsofthetwocountrieshaveenteredintodeepconsultationsandreachedaconsensusin2014.Accordingtothecurre

6、ntplan,Thailandwillfundtheproject,whileChinawillpro-videengineersandotherrelatedtechnicalsupport.ChinaandThailandhavehadalong-termfriendlyrelationship.Cooperationofbothcountriesinhighspeedrailwayprojecthasbeendrivenbyseveralfactors.Forexample,sharingamutualbenefitinincreas

7、ingregionaleconomicdevelopmentandfinancialbenefits,includepromotingbilateraltradedevelopment,reducingtransittimeandtransportationcostetc.However,thecooperationonthisprojecthasbeenencounteredmanydifficultiesandchallenges.SomeThaicitizensopposethisbe-causetheofhigh-speedrail

8、willbringdamagetothelocalenvironment.Thelargeinvestmentwillalsoincreasethefinancialburden
