2、Changfu,ChinaMinisterofAgriculture,signedaCooperationPlanonAgricultureandRuralDevelopment.BuildingonestablishedrelationsbetweenChinaandtheEU,thePlanisexpectedtogiveanewimpetustothemutualpartnershipandbringmutualbenefitsbyestablishingastrongerandcloserrel
3、ationshipinagriculture,sothatthetwosidescantacklebilateralandinternationalchallengesmoreeffectivelytogether.Bothsideswillinparticulargainfromsharingideas,bestpractices,andinnovativesolutions.Bothsideswilladdressissuesoffoodsecurity,aswellastheenvironment
4、alchallenges,soastomake6agriculturemoresustainableandenhanceagriculturaltraderelations.FocusingoncommonprioritieswillbringnewmomentumtoEU-Chinarelationsinagricultureandruraldevelopment.Prioritysectorsforcooperationmayinclude:foodsecurity,internationalcoo
5、peration,environmental-friendlyagriculture,organicfarmingandfoodsafety.“AgricultureisofcrucialinterestforbothChinaandtheEU.Weshareastronginterestindeepeningourbilateralcooperationinthefieldsofagricultureandruraldevelopment,”saidDacianCiolos.“ThisCooperat
6、ionPlanisanewstepinourcommitmenttoworktogethertoaddresscommonchallenges–inparticularfoodsecurity,ruraldevelopment,foodsafetyandclimatechange.Wecanmeetthesechallengesbyestablishingastrongerandcloserrelationshipinagriculture,atbilateralandinternationalleve
